I’m entering this quilt in the ROYGBIV category.
This baby was started long ago. In the beginning days of my blog. It was a quilt along created by Angela. I jumped in full force and then this project just kept getting moved around to different baskets around my studio.
But she’s finished now and she’s gorgeous.
This is the first quilt that I’ve made using a white background. It’s surprising how much I love it. While I don’t think you’ll get me off my grey kick anytime soon, I do see white as a future possibility.
Backed with an Ikea sheet to match my bed. Pebble quilted on a standard machine by my lovely mother (having a quilting family is the best).
Bound in Michael Miller Clown Stripe in Black and White:
Even with all the time it took during piecing, I’m still completely in love with the Peeps that are cut and sewn *just so* in order to line their feet up across the gap.
Name: Rainbow Ziggy
Pattern by Angela
Finishes at 80″ x 94″
Fabric Used: Various quilting FQs, Kona White, Michael Miller Clown Stripe in Black, Ikea Sheet
Quilted in all over Pebbles on a home machine by my amazingly talented Mom.
And now that the pictures are finished with it’s time for me to wrap this quilt around me and check out the other quilts in the Festival.
